Glenwood Springs Halloween Spooktacular & Spooky Skate

Date: Saturday, October 26, 2 – 6 PM | Location: Community Center, 100 Wulfsohn Rd, Glenwood Springs

Enjoy carnival games, prizes, bounce houses, a haunted maze, and a Little Monsters Zone for the youngest trick-or-treaters. Afterward, lace up for the Spooky Skate – the first ice session of the season. Costumes encouraged.

American Legion Spooktacular Halloween Party

Date: Thursday, October 31, doors 5 PM – late | Location: American Legion Post, Glenwood Springs

A Halloween celebration that gives back – all proceeds help send Disabled Veterans to the 40th Annual National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Hotel Colorado Halloween Ball

From Spooky to Soulful: Celebrating Dí a de los Muertos

Dí a de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a time to honor loved ones who have passed, filling streets and plazas with marigolds, candles, painted faces, and joyful remembrance. The Carbondale community’s annual celebration has become a beloved Down-Valley tradition, weaving art, food, music, and memory into one unforgettable evening.

Carbondale Clay Center: U-Paint-It Calavera Party

Date: Saturday, November 1, 10 AM – 1 PM | Location: Carbondale Clay Center, 135 Main St

A bilingual, free event where families can decorate clay skulls (calaveras) crafted by local artists. Finished pieces are fired and displayed during Carbondale’s First Friday Dí a de los Muertos celebration.

Carbondale Arts: Valleywide Dí a de los Muertos Celebration

Date: Friday, November 7, 5 – 9 PM | Location: Main Street and 4th Street Plaza, Carbondale

A vibrant procession from the Third Street Center through town ends with music, food, and dancing at 4th Street Plaza. Expect community ofrendas (altars), traditional pan de muerto, face-painting, live performances, and art throughout downtown.

How to Participate: Bring a photo or memento of a loved one to add to the shared ofrenda.
